A 3-acre sprawling homestead compound in the high desert of Wonder Valley — three separate structures organized around a saltwater pool, hot tub, and dry sauna, set against 360-degree views of the Mojave landscape. The silence here has its own sound. The dark skies are among the finest in Southern California.
The compound structure — main house, cottage, and pool house — gives groups both the ability to gather and the privacy to retreat. Fully fenced and pet-friendly. Sixteen minutes from the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.

About the Host
"The solitude and space to breathe became not just something we enjoyed, but something we wanted to share."
My family had a second home in Joshua Tree for years before we truly lived there. When Covid arrived, we decamped to Wonder Valley full time — and it changed everything. We'd always loved visiting, but actually living in the open desert was a revelation. Each day brought something new: sunrises and sunsets that demanded your attention, desert wildlife, colors that exist nowhere else.
My background is real estate. I spent years working with investors on multi-family buildings before falling in love with a different kind of property — the kind with a story, a setting, an irreplaceable sense of place. Rural properties. Wine country estates. High desert compounds. The kind of places that don't just provide shelter but actually change the way you feel when you're in them.
I host because I believe these places deserve guests who will appreciate them. I hope you're one of them.
I also host two properties in Healdsburg wine country — healdsburgstays.com →

Best-rate guarantee
Our direct rates are always the same or better than any listing platform. Find a lower rate for the same dates on Airbnb or VRBO, and we'll match it.
A direct line to the host
You're booking with the owner — not a call center. Questions, recommendations, the rhythm of the high desert and the way into Joshua Tree: it comes straight from someone who knows this land intimately.
